We stand on the edge of a new frontier, one where Alberta can finally take its destiny into its own hands. For too long, we’ve been shackled to a federal government that doesn’t understand our values, doesn’t respect our economy, and doesn’t listen to our voices! How much longer are we going to sit back and watch our wealth get siphoned away? How much longer will we let Ottawa bleed Alberta dry to fund provinces that don’t contribute half as much as we do?

Let’s look at the facts, Alberta is the economic powerhouse of Canada. We contribute billions to this country through oil, gas, and agriculture. In 2022 alone, Alberta paid $27 billion more into federal coffers than we got back in services. That’s right – $27 billion of Alberta’s hard-earned money sent to prop up failed policies and bloated programs in provinces like Quebec and Ontario. Yet, when we need help, when oil prices collapse or pipelines are shut down (largely due to federal policies), what do we get from Ottawa? Nothing! They laugh in our faces and tell us to diversify our economy while they choke off the very lifeblood of this province: our energy industry.

The Carbon tax is an example of a policy designed to cripple Alberta’s industry while letting other provinces skate by. It’s a direct attack on our way of life, on the thousands of men and women who work in the oilfields, in construction, in transportation. Ottawa uses it to punish Alberta, not because it’s good for the environment, but because it’s good politics for the Liberal elites who are more interested in securing votes in Toronto and Montreal than doing what’s right for this country. 

An Independant Alberta would be one of the richest nations per capita in the world! We would be free to develop our resources without interference, to cut taxes, to foster innovation. We would have control over our borders, our laws, our economy, and our immigration policy. We would never have to apologize for our success again and we wouldn’t have our economy artificially destroyed by ridiculous policies that are intended to hold us back! The West has always been treated like a second-class citizen in Confederation. From the National Energy Program in the 1980’s to the Equalization payments that have robbed us for decades, it’s clear that Ottawa doesn’t care about Alberta. We are nothing more than a piggy bank for the rest of this country. The Laurentian elites see us as a cash cow, not a proud and independent people.

We can end this together! We will no longer be subject to the whims of a government that does not represent us. We will no longer fund provinces that sneer at our industry and demonize the very workers who keep this country running. We will no longer allow our future to be dictated by people who don’t know us, who don’t understand our values, and who never have to live with the consequences of their disastrous policies.

It’s time for Alberta to take its place on the world stage as a sovereign nation. A nation where individual freedom and economic liberty are not just words, but the foundation of everything we do. A nation that respects hard work, innovation, and prosperity. A nation that does not apologize for being successful but celebrates it! We’ve tried working within Confederation, and it’s gotten us nowhere. Now, it’s time to build something better.
